The dialog edit is one of the critical deliverables on a feature film and it goes hand-in-hand with Foley and sound effects to ensure that separate music and effects tracks or "M&E's" can be created during mixing.
Dialog editing involves replacing difficult lines. We can record ADR for problematic location sound, or non-existent audio at our private studio in Jersey City.
At the sound effects editing stage (sound design) we put together "cut" effects from our libraries, as well as Foley effects to fill out and compliment the dialog track and the picture.
Also called "re-recording mixing," we blend the dialog, music, and effects tracks together. Almost more importantly we ensure the music and effects tracks can be split off as stems for overseas delivery ("M&E's").
We can mix features to ATSC A/85 standards in 5.1 surround with complete music and effects tracks suitable for overseas deliverables.
